A problem you’re uniquely capable of solving

What’s a problem you’re uniquely capable of solving?

Something that interests you and keeps your attention. Something you could work on for a long time. Something the market also wants to solve.

Maybe, instead of chasing opportunities, you could do more of that.

The inner game of what we do

I had a great chat today with members of the group coaching program about the inner game of what we do.

I call this topic “Mindset” but you could call it something different.

We talked about things like managing stress, context switching, allowing tension in an engagement, confidence, healthy habits, mental bandwidth, measuring progress, goal setting, free time, prioritization, habits, lifestyle planning, and a wide range of other unexpected topics.

If you think the inner game is too fluffy or not practical for discussion, I could see why you might think that at first glance.

I used to think ‘mindset’ was some kind of woo woo self-help term. But in reality, what goes on between your ears underpins everything else.

Without a solid inner game, nothing else works. You can draw a straight line from your mindset to your income.

So, I’m curious to explore this topic further. What tools or practices do you use to keep your mind in the right place?

Hit reply and let me know.

Make the call

Sometimes, the best option is to kick the can down the road on a big decision. New information comes around and we’re glad we waited.

Other times, we just need to make a decision and run with it. The sooner we make a decision, the sooner we’ll have new information to work with.

If you’re going to kick the can, just don’t do it forever. It’s too easy to do that.

Make a call and adjust as you go.

How does your brain work?

There’s a good chance you’re super strong in some areas and mediocre or worse in most others.

You can usually tell because you LOVE doing some kinds of work and procrastinate and feel exhausted after doing other things.

Another way to tell what you’re naturally skilled at or interested in is by paying attention to the content you like to consume.

Do you like learning step-by-step processes or do you prefer the learn big ideas that shift how you work more broadly?

It might indicate where your sweet spot is—either as a tactician, strategist, or somewhere in between.

The more you can tap into your natural gifts—and remove what you’re not meant to do—the more successful you will be and the better you will feel.

Be ruthless.

A question of value

Just for fun, I’d love your thoughts on this question.

Is value contextual or fixed?

Reply with your vote. Even if it’s a one-word reply.
